Family Days at Yarrawarra a so much fun

Family fun day and cultural educational day

Join the Planting the seeds- North Coast Early Childhood engagement gatherings and explore the wonderful world of education, culture and children in a fun holistic way with your family.

Interactive workshops including cultural education, eco-parenting and art for kids and parents.

All events are free and we encourage families to come join us in the celebration of our culture, our kids, and building strong outcomes.

Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural centre invites ALL people and visitors to join us on the 30th November for a fun filled  family day at our centre on Red Rock Rd, Corindi Beach.

The day is being held in conjunction with the Planting the Seeds Parent gatherings and will host a variety of activities for parents, carers, children and families to participate in. Of course the old favourites, jumping castles and water slides are set to be a hit but there will also be circus sports activities, art workshops, eco-parenting, felt making, yarning, developing literacy kits and a variety of stalls and of course the wonderful Yarrawarra gallery to browse through. Clarence Regional Library will generate a great deal of interest with their story and activity sessions, and Alison Williams will inspire the inner artists in us all with her art workshops. Dads don’t need to be left out, try making natural play blocks for the kids.

The open day is set to kick off at 11am and we encourage families to make a day of it. Our wonderful Bushtucker shack will have some delicious refreshments for sale or you can bring a picnic lunch to have on our grounds.

EJ Williams, CEO of Yarrawarra says” this is a way that families can connect with each other on their days off, join in activities, create things and learn about Aboriginal culture. Spending time with your family in an amazing spot , learning together– it is the stuff that our childhood memories are made of”

All of the activities are free on the day. Just remember to bring some sunscreen, a hat and swimmers and towels, a happy smile and jump in and enjoy!!
