Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre’s unique features

There are no similar centres or facilities that offer a unique cultural experience such as that offered by Yarrawarra.

Yarrawarra focuses on Aboriginal and Islander people maintaining their Cultural Heritage and integrity and in turn gives a special gift to the rest of the world.

Nestled in 7 acres of peaceful bushland, the Yarrawarra Aboriginal Cultural Centre consists of a range of products and services at the Corindi Beach area and within the local area. These include:

Nuralamee Conference & Event Centre

Opened in September 1999, Nuralamee, meaning “our home camp”, features a main conference/meeting room (the central hall of the Centre) and a ‘breakaway’ room under the north wing. Fully equipped with electronic whiteboards, overhead projectors, TV/video, integrated PA system, flip charts, photocopier, telephone point (in main room) and facsimile (in office). Delicious catering providing large servings and optional bush tucker menu is also available with seating for up to 150 and plentiful sealed parking for cars & coaches.

Nuralamee also features 2 accommodation wings with a central multi-purpose room for conferences, functions and dining. Nuralamee has 8 spacious bedrooms in each wing with shared amenities; each room sleeps 4 in double bunks (‘quad share’). Showers and toilets are designed for privacy, with lockable doors. There is a toilet / shower room for disabled guests only. In addition, there are 2 twin share rooms with ensuites and 2 single bedrooms with basins only. Every room is equipped with a pedestal fan. Nuralamee accommodates 70 in total. Nuralamee also has a fully equipped commercial kitchen on premises and can cater for day-to-day and special occasion bookings.

The Bush Tucker Cafe

This unique bush tucker café provides a vast range of freshly cooked foods – including an all organic bush tucker menu. With a focus on Indigenous Cuisine, the Café offers everything from a cup of tea or coffee on the verandah to a full Roo Burger and more.

Cultural Experiences

Residential Dwellings

The Gurehlgam Corporation owns 7 residential properties between Coffs Harbour and Corindi Beach. These properties are available to rent by Corporation Members at a slightly lower than market rate. The properties are managed by Richardson & Wrench Real Estate in Coffs Harbour.
